The recent safety law enacted in April 2008 in Italy, also known as Law 81 (ex 626), places precise rules for factory property about the safety of their employees within the working area. In the aftermath of the tragedy occured in ThyssenKrupp, the government intended to give a further turn of the screw increasing regulations and penalties for non-compliance with minimum safety standards.

Especially for companies with a reasonable extension area, it is required a detailed chart of meeting points corresponding to precise location in which all employees must go in case of emergency. Every employee must be instructed on how to reach his safety area which may change depending on the working position of the employee at the time of the alarm.

The Access Control System Sesamo is able to handle dynamically and in real time the location of the employees in the different Meeting Points of the Company area.

- Meeting points can be defined  inside of the Database profile of each employee. In this case, wherever he is located, the list of the employees in the company area will provide the meeting point defined in that Database.

- Meeting points can be dynamic, depending on the area reached by the employee at the time of the emergency. In this second scenario each Access Control and Time & Attendance device is assigned to a designated meeting point located nearby. The employee will be equipped with a special badge and will be recognized by the Access Control Devices each time he marks to access different areas of the factory. If it is not possible to define precise areas, it can be simply installed a device in a passageway and inform the employee of the need to signal his presence in the area, marking his badge on the device.

At this point the system Sesamo, who works in real time, is able to know at any time the location of every single employee within the company area. It is important to remember that Sesamo has an automatic scheduling of reports and printouts, so it can provide a list of the employees divided by the meeting point, even every minute. In fact it is unthinkable that someone in full emergency may be able to launch a printout manually considering also the fact that there may be a sudden blackout. Sesamo then, through the scheduler, will have already produced the printed form in pdf files and even saved it on a server outside the site and thus easily accessible even in case of major emergency.
